Game old trout, ancient heckler and exuberant enthusiast for all things Scottish, Miss Myrtle Throgmorton OBE (pending), once again returned to the Edinburgh Fringe, mad-rabbiting on about the delights of a long life – giddy aunts, Burns, beards, Creamola Foam, zimmer zumba and much else.
More sit-down than stand-up, Myrtle’s maturity was complemented by the youthful vigour of pianist Richard Bailey and baritone Colin Brockie. Once again, there was a daily, delightful surprise guest with the after-dinner mints.
Miss Throgmorton, the original bag-for-life, appeared by arrangement with Jennie Chalmers, supported by Mary Williams and sturdy gussets.
